Welcome to Murphy On Money

Do you ever worry about money or stress about getting bills paid?

I did too, but now that is a thing of the past.

I'm just an average Joe that got serious about taking control of my financial life.  Around 28 years old I decided I was going to get out of debt. In the 3 years that followed I paid off a $10,000 car, a $14,000 Harley Davidson, and $65,000 in student loans. Additionally I managed to accumulate $70,000 in my 401k.

Another great thing happened when I started watching, monitoring, and being responsible with money... more of it came my way.  The intentionally and motivation showed up in my work and raises and additional responsibilities came my way.

I am now debt free and have an emergency fund equal to 3 months of income.  I don't worry about finances any more.  It's a great feeling and now that I can, I want to share all I learned and the steps I took along the way to help you!

Please browse the site or just contact me.  I like hearing from readers and I'm happy to answer questions, give a few pointers, or help in any other way I can.
